Morrerei fremosa no mar maior

(I’ll die, lovely me, in the deep sea)
Inspired by the poem “Sedia-m’eu na ermida de San Simión”, writen by Meendinho. The text of the illustration could be translated as follows:

And the waves of the high sea surrounded me;
I have no boatman and I don‘t know how to row,
Me waiting for my boy.
I have no boatman or anyone to row,
And I‘ll die, lovely me, in the deep sea,
Me waiting for my boy.

Ua moça namorada dizía un cantar d’amor

(A girl in love was singing a love song)
Inspired by the poem by Lourenço.

Ca meu dano sería de viver máis un día

(Because it would be pure pain for me to live another day)
Inspired by the poem “Eu nunca dormio nada” (I never sleep at all), writen by Joan Lopez d’Ulhoa. The text of the illustration could be translated as:

The one who lingers so long / if he has another love
Other than mine, I‘d like / to die this very day.
Because it would be pure pain for me / to live another day.
